-         Investigation of the interaction of ZrO2, Al2O3, MgO, TiN  with slag at steelmaking temperature using confocal laser scanning microscope (CLSM)

-         Investigation of the heat treatment, surface nitriding and surface laser treatment on the structure and properties of steel

-         Investigation of solidification, transformation, nitrides, carbides and carbonitrides precipitations in nitrogen alloyed  steels using CLSM

-         Investigation of solidification, transformation, nitrides, carbides and carbonitrides precipitations in stainless  steels using CLSM

-         VAR and ESR refining of cobalt free low nickel maraging steel

-         Investigation of the phase transformations in alloyed steels after refining processes

-         Studying the different factors affect the nozzle clogging in CC of steel

-         Studying the effect and role of nitrogen in improving the structure and mechanical properties of tool and stainless steels during solidification and heat treatment

-         Development of quasicrystalline bulk materials and optimization of their properties and structure

-         Studying the effect of physical properties of slag on the cleanliness and properties of steel
